Hanako-San Model Sheet: Emiko Yamane

Emiko: "Yes, I know, my dad named me after the heroine in Godzilla. He had a weird sense of humor. It's one of the things that warped my personality."

Emiko is the second lead heroine in Hanako-san and of the three friends who constitute the main characters, she is the one everyone depends on. I needed to start bringing some consistency to her sketches and that, I think, is the main reason for doing a model sheet. I may use this as an example for con panels on planning your graphic novel.

My thoughts on model sheets: Not just the standard mug and lineup shots, but you should include action poses and facial expressions showing emotions your character might show during the story. Additional model sheets should be made for each costume change. Hands, feet, tentacles may require shots as well.
